Ramen 3000 opened on April 12, 2025, on Azalea-dori in Komagome. According to press coverage, the owner had worked in Italian and curry restaurants but taught himself ramen from scratch. The shop opens at 9am and runs on three pillars: shoyu, shio, and tsuke-soba (dipping noodles).

What kind of shop it is

About six months after opening, it placed third in the New Shop Grand Prix of the 26th TRY Ramen Award 2025-2026, published by Kodansha on October 21, 2025. Several ramen writers have noted that it reached this position without the owner having trained at an established ramen shop.

The soup is made without MSG, built on genkotsu and back bones from Iwachu pork — a branded pork from Iwate Prefecture — along with Daisen chicken and chicken bones, rounded out with a seafood stock. The noodles are made in-house, medium-thick and straight. Coverage describes the broth as carrying a clear chicken savour and a dried-fish note despite the absence of MSG.

What to order

The three pillars are shoyu ramen (¥1,000), shio ramen (¥1,100) and tsuke-soba in either shoyu or shio (¥1,200). The shoyu is described as a piping-hot broth with a clear note of niboshi (dried sardine), and the shio as a stock layered with shellfish. A shio ramen with a seasoned egg is ¥1,250, and a large bottle of beer served with a small snack is ¥700.

Prices run roughly ¥1,000–1,250. Decide which of the three you are after before you reach the ticket machine — the queue moves faster that way.

Tips for visiting

The shop opens at 9am and closes once the soup runs out. Closing time was reported as 14:00 as of February 2026, though it was listed as 16:00 shortly after opening, so hours can change. Check the official X account (@ramen_3000) before you go.

Ordering is by shokken: press reports describe buying a meal ticket from a vending machine and handing it to the staff (check the official X account for accepted payment methods). The shop is closed on Wednesdays. Coverage describes customers arriving from early morning — one February 2026 report found seven people already waiting at 8:45am — so allow extra time.
